To be sure, some hysterical linguists are of the opinion that all human
language was the result of a 7th-millennium B.C. invasion by a group of sky
riders who came down the Kamchatka Corridor on winged horses, raped the women,
and inaugurated not only the Finno-Ugric but the IndoEuropean language
families. Theretofore, man as we know him could only grunt. While there are
attractive aspects to this theory, particularly its far-reaching
comprehensiveness, there are also certain drawbacks, most notably the lack of
facts.
